Is Wester-Amstel open?

A few times a year our park is closed during the above hours. Maintenance work, events inside and outside the park, as well as the weather can lead to these closures. Announcements on planned closures can be found on our Facebook-page 'Wester-Amstel'.

 

Wat te doen als u op Wester-Amstel aankomt?

When you visit Wester-Amstel, you'll get to stroll through our park and gardens, under oak trees and amongst beautiful flowers. By the end of your visit, you’ll feel recharged and renewed.

What should I do when I get to Wester-Amstel?
​First, take a moment to absorb your surroundings. Do you see the Amstel River, flowing at an easy pace (above the land)? Can you hear the wind rustling the leaves overhead? Can you smell the flowers? ​

There is no right or wrong way to visit Wester-Amstel, but we suggest that you download our audio tour. It will take you on a delightful, hour-long tour of our park and gardens.

Can I bring food and beverages?

​Yes, you can! There are comfortable picnic tables in the orchard and by the pond.

But please follow a few of our guidelines:​

  • No BBQs, cooking, or heating equipment
  • No alcohol
  • Don’t feed the animals or wildlife
  • Clean up after yourself

  • Wear comfortable shoes - you’ll be walking on natural paths
